Stop your whining (wisconsin deer hunters)

I so sick of hearing how the dnr is so bad and they're lying to us. Everyone is so caught up in the politics. Who were the people that shot all the deer? We did. Don't shoot everything that moves. Don't take 5 does off your land a year. You know you dont have to use every tag you get. It's common sense. Why would you boycott hunting? To get back at the dnr. Cmon. Sounds to me that you're not real hunters. The baiting issue, and seeing no deer. Get off your asses and get out there, put your time in, see were the deer are. Bedding areas, feeding areas, ect.

I live in Oregon, we're allowed ONE buck with not less than a forked antler per year. Unless you also draw controlled hunt tag for the eastern units. CWD/DNR or not, you guys are lucky to get to take that many animals....

Comment by Joe on January 5, 2010 at 1:58pm: I guarantee you that Brian does not work for the DNR, and he is good hunter. That being said, different parts of the state are worse off than others. I hunt up north, and the past two winters certainly haven't helped anything.

My friend also is retired and we often hunt togeather, the deer numbers ARE way down yet you guys keep issuing doe tags, there are over 2000 left in Price county and no deer to put them on!

Comment by Jared Heinz on December 28, 2009 at 6:51pm: Dif story hunting public land, my family a hunting party of 6 minus myself hunted all week and didn’t see one deer in the area we have hunted for the last 15 years. And we hunt hard, hip boots and light jackets watch out swamp bogs and brush here we come! Dnr is the ones issuing the tags there killer, so hence they are the problem. apparently their biologists are a lil off on there regulation of game in the state, first to low a number of bear now to high a number of deer and still to low a number of wolves, but hey they got the elk herd and 5-6 moose that are in the state pegged! good job dnr!
