Last weekend in missouri for honker hunting :(

yup this was the last weekend for honker hunting in missouri. which really turned out to be one of the best this year. on saturday we got 8 guys limits yea 16 birds. and sunday was every good weather for honker huntin and me and the rest of the prostaff decided it was jus goin to be a day for us to hunt. we got our 4 guys limit 8 birds today. prolly one of the funnest hunts ever. its always nice to beable to take a day and relax with the guys and not have to worry bout gettin others poeples… Continue

1-18-09 Guided hunt

This weekend like any other weekend during the honker season was amazing. on saturday we limited out 7people thats 14 birds, not to bad for a late season hunt around here. Sundays hunt wasn't to bad either we got a 5 man limit 10 birds. i have posted 1 picture of that saturday hunt and there will be some more to come. hopefully next weekend i might have a lil teaser video from our dvd.

My last day of deer season

So i was sitting in the stand listing to music. i was sitting in there fo bout an hour then i got kinda bored so i looked through my scope near the feader just messing around then low and behold i see a hog so thinking nutting else will come in i took a shot(180 yards). i have a .243. and when i shot it it went straight down. i mean i was so far away i didnt think it was that big. then i sit in my stand for bout five min. i get out put my gun down… Continue

QDMA

I have been bow hunting for the past 24 years. I hunt almost entirely public lands. In Minnesota we are blessed with thousands of acres of State and Federal owned lands open to public hunting. This deer is my best ever (124 6/8ths) Over the past 5 years I have kept a journal logging my time spent in the tree stand.I have averaged about 60 days in the field during this time, passing on about 25 younger bucks a year. The Honker Story!

so today my brother cody, dillon,and I went out honker huntin like always. We were callin in some Geese (my brother cody and dillon hadn;t got thier limit yet) they cupped in on us i yelled take'em boys dillon ended up shootin one and he was so excited cause he thought it had some jewlery (which it didn't) so he hauled as down the field to get is bird and forgot his gun in the blind. last day of rifle

I woke up about 5:15 saturday morning the last day of 08 rifle hunting .Thanks to the nieghbors dog i spooked deer comin in to the woods,but all was well for i knew my huntin grounds were loaded with massive whitetail bucks.So i got to my huntin spot as the sun rose.So after an hour i was sick of waitin and i went up the mountain to where they alwas bed down.They saw me comin up and i couldnt get a shot .So as i went further up the hill to a big field i had a broad side shot at 75 to 80 yards… Continue
