Matt- I think pheasant hunting is much better than dove hunting. You get to see your dog work that much more and you get to move around bull-shittin with your friends. If you've never been pheasant hunting before and don't want your first experience to be out west you might want to try a local pheasant club. You can go to any of the outdoors shows like the one in Milwaukee to find a club that will let you go one day. We belong to one near Fond du Lac called Pheasants on the Ledge. You could get 5 birds there for around $20 each and they will even put birds in cages for first time dogs. I'd recommend something like that before wasting a lot of time and money going out east.

Hello everyone, I have wanted to pheasant hunt for along time. I love to dove hunt and was wanting to know if pheasants are as much fun or better than dove.. there isnt many if any places to hunt them around here so Im thinking of going out west to give it a shot... any in put?
